Goodbye 2015! Welcome 2016!

Last few hours are left for the year 2015 to end and 2016 to come and I am so excited to welcome the new year!

2015 has been a very interesting year for me both personally as well as a Blogger.

Personally, I witnessed growth in my person. I have become more forgiving, less accommodating to people who take my kindness as my weakness and more wiser to the goals I want to achieve in my life. This year saw me getting many new lasting associations, more exposure as a blogger and also I came more closer to my family.

The Blog saw new introductions to it in the form of a Fashion/Beauty Corner, Food Corner, Music Review section, Product Review Section that included reviews on automobiles, Tech, Websites, Beauty Products etc., Movie Review Section and more posts on Relationships, lifestyle etc. in the Stories/Articles Corner and sweet FREE and BARGAIN book deals in the FBQ Meme
Book Review Section was also a hit with over 150 plus Book Reviews that included both Audio books, Ebooks and Paperbacks in 2015!

I also finally braved myself to come out of my shell and attend some really interesting Events. Some Events I haven't written about yet. I also visited some lovely places this year and hope to get down my views and experiences to you soon. I have been lazy this last few months but I hope to get back on track this new year.

We had some cool Giveaways also running alongside and it was so much fun bringing some Exclusive Giveaways just for you too!

I am thankful to God, to you Dear Readers and to the Authors, Publicists, Companies, Publishers, fellow Bloggers and so many more people who have supported, guided and then been there with me even when I went AWOL. Thank you so much!

I hope I continue getting your support and love in 2016 too. There is so much I want to bring to you so just stay tuned!

Do you know according to Astrologers, 2016 is going to be a year that will usher a new era in not only our lives but also the fates of the World at large. So yeah, Bring On the New Year!!

Book Review: You Are the Best Wife by Ajay K. Pandey

Title and Author: You Are the Best Wife by Ajay K. Pandey
No. of Pages: 248
Publication Date: Srishti Publishers & Distributors (8th November 2015)
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Non-Fiction, Indian Author, Debut
Language: English

Book Review:
You Are the Best Wife by Ajay K. Pandey is the true account of the author and his wife's love story and subsequent marriage. The story is a dedication by the author to his dead wife who not only made him a better person but also gave him strength to rise above the depression following her death to do good with his life.

The cover of the book is appealing and the title intriguing enough that it had my interest piqued to know more. The blurb is simple but does the needful and is able to engage the readers' interest in the book.

This is Ajay K. Pandey's debut book which shows right from the start. His writing style is simple and he seems to be grappling with sentence construction at times but despite this the story is heartfelt and written passionately. The author was able to ignite and then retain my interest in his story right till the end. Each and every word seems to be written right from his heart and had me empathizing with him and then admiring his wife who comes out as a kind, loyal, intelligent and very wise woman. Had she been alive I would really have loved to meet her and get to know her!

This book had me remembering another recently read true romantic account by a yet another Indian author who also wrote about his true love, the upheaval he faced following his love's painful death and the struggle he faced while making good the promise he had made to her just before her death. The book I  kept remembering is Keeping the Promises by Dhruv Gajjar. Just like Keeping the Promises, You Are the Best Wife also had me feeling a multitude of emotions right from the dreamy happiness of finding first love to the soul shattering hopelessness of watching your soul mate die.

The author takes the reader on a journey of life right from his college days when he found his to-be-wife to facing the difficulties of getting his family agree to his marriage to the journey after his marriage that shaped his life.

The pace of the story is a bit slow in the first part and then picks up speed in the second part. I felt one with the author and was able to feel everything he wanted to convey through his book. Ajay's effort is noteworthy and his book will surely touch a cord with every reader.

A decent and very promising effort from the author, I enjoyed reading You Are the Best Wife and spent a memorable time following the author down the memory lane. This is a book that can be read in one sitting in some four to five hours and is a great gifting option. 4 out of 5 to it and recommended to all lovers of heartfelt true romances.

I received the book from the author and Writers Melon and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.

#ProductReview: Spawake Moisturising Fairness Cream For Night

Hello Everyone,

How are you all?

I hope you all are gearing up for the Christmas and New Year holidays as I am. With many parties, marriages and family gatherings lined up for me, I am busy readying myself to look the best and so it has been a little slow on the blog since the last few weeks.

However, while I have been away I have managed to try some really cool beauty products- some of which I had bought or received a while ago but just didn't get the chance to try and others I have just bought to try on!

As you remember, I attended the launch party of Spawake in India in May this year and received the complete range to try out. While I used and reviewed the Spawake Whitening Scrub Face Wash while also trying the other products, I didnt get down to writing my thoughts on the other products until now.

Today, I'll share my impression of Spawake Moisturising Fairness Cream For Night with you which I have been using since the last few months and really loved the overall effect on my skin.

Spawake Moisturising Fairness Cream For Night
About the Product:

Spawake Moisturising Fairness Cream For Night is a night-time moisturiser that nourishes and recovers your skin overnight with nutrient-rich sea minerals and Vitamin E. Continuously moisturises for 8 hours* to sleep off the damaging effects of environmental stress such as UV rays, dryness and pollution.

Beautiful skin is created at night as the skin metabolism is most active while we sleep. This happens because there are less factors to interrupt the skincare process making night time the ideal time to care for your skin.

Key Features of the Product:

- The next morning, your skin feels brand new, appearing fairer and softly hydrated from within.

- Spreads easily with a smooth texture.

Key Ingredients:

Vitamin E

Spawake Moisturising Fairness Cream For Night

My Review:

Spawake Moisturising Fairness Cream For Night is a white opaque cream which is light and not too thick with a floral fragrance that is pleasant and leaves a lingering fragrance on the skin which is light and not too pungent so as to be irritating to our nose. It comes in an opaque blue tub and the price is affordable.

Spawake Moisturising Fairness Cream For Night

What I liked about this Product:

- The packing is sturdy. The blue tub has a capable lid and an additional second white lid that prevents the cream from spilling.

- The product is easy to carry around in our purse because of the sturdy packing.

- The cream is not too thick and neither too thin so as to make it runny. It is just the right texture.

- It is easy to apply and gets easily absorbed by the skin.

- The floral fragrance is light, soothing and very pleasant. I love the smell and the lingering fragrance that it leaves behind on the skin after application.

- Just a small glob is enough for the entire face and neck.

- The cream moisturises the skin and leaves it feeling soft and supple.

- It contains natural ingredients like sea weed, sea salt and vitamin E: all of which are known skin beauty enhancers.

- The price is affordable and one tub of the product lasts longer because only a small quantity is required for a single application.

- It relaxes the skin and doesn't darken the skin complexion.

- It doesn't make the skin oily.

- The skin looks healthier, shinier and softer right after the first application.

- It removes tanning and lends a fairer look to the skin.

- It is suited for all skin types. However, for extra oily skin, I would recommend using even lesser quantity than you would use if you have combination or dry skin.

- Impressive shelf life of 3 years.

What I didn't like about this Product:

- While Spawake products are available in majority stores in my area, availability maybe an issue in some parts of India but it is available online.

- The skin looks oily in the beginning. Some extra massaging is required.

- The product does contain some chemicals.

249 INR for 50 gm and 129 INR for 25 gm.

Shelf Life:

3 years from the date of Manufacture.

Spawake Moisturising Fairness Cream For Night is a great product from Spawake and I loved using it. It fulfills all the claims it makes and I felt my skin getting more beautiful, soft and healthy with each application. I know I am going to buy it again when my present tub finishes. However, if you are allergic to chemicals or avoid products with chemicals then you should check the ingredients first and then buy it.

4 out of 5 to Spawake Moisturising Fairness Cream For Night from me and recommended to everyone.

I received the product for review and the above is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.

Now about this meme. Read the below introduction to know more about it. :)

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's all about sharing books you've added to your shelves be it physical or virtual. Friday Feature and Follow #66 ~Book I would write!

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet new people and gain more followers in the book blogging community.
If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers. But you have to know, the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

Question of the Week: Question of the Week: If you could write a book what would it be about? - Suggested by Go Book Yourself.

I love mystery but don't know if I have it in me to create extensive mystery plots like those of Agatha Christie's or Arthur Conan Doyle's. However, I do think I can write romances. I love reading contemporary romances which have a hint of suspense so maybe I would write a story with these elements. :)
