#BlogHop and #BloggerFeature--> Sunday Star Blogger Feature & Sneak Peak #3

Hi Friends,

Welcome to Njkinny's World of Books and to the Sunday Feature! :)
If this is your first time to my blog then welcome and I hope you like and enjoy here.

If you host Blog Hops then you are welcome to enter your hop link on my Blog Hops page! :)

"Sunday Star Blogger Feature & Sneak Peak" is a weekly feature where I'll feature a star blogger with an awesome blog who I will choose from the bloggers who participate in this feature, from amongst the comments I receive. Apart from this I and all the bloggers who participate are required to share their upcoming week's schedule for their blog like upcoming reviews, features, interviews, giveaways etc. If you are not sure of your schedule then no problem, share your tentative plans. :)

Lastly, don't forget to go say "Hi" to all the lovely people who have participated and visited your blog. The purpose of this feature is to get to know new blogs, gain followers and follow as many as possible.

Njkinny's World of Books

Follow these simple rules to have fun and gain followers. :)

  1. (Required) Follow the Host (Njkinny's World of Books) and the Featured Blogger.
  2. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  3. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
  4. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
  5. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers.
Every week I will select one star blogger from the blogs that comment/participate in this feature.

PS: If you organize and host Blog Hops then enter your hop link on my Blog Hops page! :)

This week's Featured Blogger is:
Kimberly from Fantasy is more fun.

Q1. Tell us something about yourself.

I’m originally a New Yorker, but spent my teenage years in Texas and consider myself a Texan. What can I say – I like warm/hot weather! I’m currently in my 3rd year as a graduate student of Medieval History working on my PhD – and that’s why I need my blog. To keep myself sane!

Q2. When did you first get the idea to blog? When did you start this blog?

Well I started an extremely bad blog when I started Grad School called Undergrad2Grad. The idea was that I would write about the transition to grad school. I think I had 6 posts in 2 years and maybe twice as many visitors. So I thought I wasn’t a blogger – turned out I didn’t have the right topic yet.
Then last year I met some book bloggers on Shelfari. I loved their blogs and decided to give it a go. The rest is history.

Q3. How did you come up with this name for your blog?

Fantasy in general (Urban, more specifically) is my favorite genre so I wanted the blog name to convey that – but also apply to all books. Even the most realistic book is an escape from our world and into a fantasy one. And I read them because it’s way more fun than real life – hence, “Fantasy is More Fun” (it was going to be Fantasy is More Fun than Real Life, but my brother convinced me that was a mouthful)

Q4. What is your blog about?

I blog about all kinds of books – though a huge focus is fantasy and audio books.
I also have a weekly discussion post and participate in a couple memes.
3x a year I co-host the Clean Out Your E-Reader Challenge (called COYER) where we try to read AND review as many free ebooks as possible. We just finished our second month and it was a blast.

Q5. What’s the best thing that has happened to you because of blogging?

So many things! I’ve made great friends, discovered books I never would have, gotten to know authors personally, and found an outlet for the stress of grad school. And I’ve finally started writing that UF book that I’ve had in my head for a while – I don’t know if I would have had the courage to go for it without my blog.

Q6. What is the one special thing about your blog that sets it apart from all the other similar blogs out there?

Um probably my personality. I’m a little bit crazy and I like to speak my mind – and my personality really comes through in my posts. I do a bit of everything  from reviews to discussions to keep it super fun.

Q7. What are your future plans for your blog?

I just want to keep going strong. Sure I’d love more followers, but it’s already way more successful than I ever dreamed it would be, so I can’t complain!

A quick top 5 with Kimberly:

1.    Favorite past time? Reading! Or playing video games…
2.    Favorite tourist destination? ANY beautiful beach
3.    Favorite Book? Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
4.    Love at first sight or love after a long courtship? Long Courtship
5.    Tea or coffee? Tea!
