Question of the Week:

Is there a book that you were required to read in school that you actually loved? - Suggested byNatalie Hearts Books
I loved "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", "Treasure Island", Shakespeare's plays like Othello, Midsummer Night's Dream, Tempest etc. It may be because I just love reading that I loved almost everything that was given to me to read including my text books, much to the relief of my parents...LOL

  1. Jessica @ a GREAT readJune 27, 2015 at 12:07 AM

Nice! I loved reading growing up as well, but for the life of me I could never enjoy the books that were forced on me. It wasn't until my senior year in high school, possibly even the last semester, that I read a book that I couldn't help but love! So weird too, because it's still as far from paranormal as you can get!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. I enjoyed The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer as well. I have not read a Shakespeare book I have particularly liked. Maybe Othello was probably the best out of the few I have read.

  4. Huck Finn was one of the books that I just did not like at all. That unit also happened to be during the time that I needed to get reading glasses, I got these terrible headaches whenever I'd try to read the small print, so I wasn't able to read it even if I had wanted to. I really liked our Shakespeare unit though.

  5. Hopping through. I really need to read more Shakespeare. I missed some of the big ones - like Romeo and Juliet.
