Minimum Oil Spring Onion and Cheese Omelette Recipe

A tasty omelette is a great accompaniment to a great morning and I just love ones that use healthy ingredients but don't use too much butter or oil in preparation. Today, I'll share the recipe for Spring Onion and Cheese Omelette that requires minimal amount of butter or oil because it is made in steam and is super tasty!

Cooking Instructions:

Cooking Time: 5-7 mins.


2 Eggs
1/2 cup of chopped spring onion
1/2 tsp of grated ginger
1 tbsp of milk
1 slice of cheese
1 tsp of oil/butter just enough to grease the pan.
1/4 tsp of black pepper
salt to taste

Steps to prepare Minimum Oil Spring Onion and Cheese Omelette:

1) Grease the pan with butter or oil and add chopped spring onion and grated ginger. Stir till the spring onions get translucent.

2) Break 2 eggs, add salt, pepper, the stir fried spring oil-ginger combo, milk and beat the mixture properly till it rises a little.

3) Add the egg mixture to the heated pan.

4) Add the cheese pieces over the mixture.

5) Lower the flame to simmer and cover the pan with a lid.

6) Cook for 2-3 minutes in steam until the eggs are cooked. You can check by poking the omelette with a knife. If it comes out clean then the omelette is ready.

7) Serve hot with toast and enjoy this sumptuous, healthy and tasty Spring Onion and Cheese Omelette.
