Almonds or Badam as they are called in Hindi pack healthy nutrients and are recommended to everyone. They not only promote growth and memory development in kids but also slow down ageing, maintain blood sugar levels and keep us active and fit.

Almonds are a rich source of 

  • Vitamin E
  • Fiber
  • Protein
  • Magnesium
  • Manganese
  • Antioxidants
  • Mono-saturated fats 
In today's post, I will share the very simple recipe for the homemade Almond (Badam) Drink Mix that is super tasty, very healthy and above-all-else totally chemical and preservative free!

This recipe has been in my family for decades and it not only tastes delicious but is also 
great homemade memory and growth booster health drink mix for growing kids and adults.

Ingredients required:


1/2 kg almonds soaked overnight.

3 tbsp moti sauf (thick fennel seeds),
2 tsp safed mirch (white pepper),
2 cups mishri (rock sugar)


Steps to prepare ready-to-use Almond drink mix

a) Remove the peel from the almonds and then dry them in the sun for four days until the moisture is removed from the almonds.

b) Grind the almonds to a powder.

c) Grind the safed mirch (white pepper), moti sauf (thick fennel seeds)) and mishri (rock sugar) to a powder.

d) Mix all together and store in a glass jar for future use.

e) You can refrigerate this mix and use it for a year and even more if you keep it away from moisture.

f) Mix 1 tbsp to a glass of either cold or hot milk or eat it separately along with milk to reap the health benefits of this drink.
