I’ve had THE BEST DAY. You won’t believe it. There I was in my preschool classroom, washing a bit of poo out of some soggy trousers, when this absolute babe came to collect his nephew from my class.
Truthfully, I thought I’d blacked out for a moment when I first saw him. He was a proper hunk with glorious brown hair, quite tall, and he had these arms. Are muscly arms supposed to turn me on? I’m panting just thinking about them.
Anyway, he told me he’s a professional foosball player. At least, I think that’s what he said. The tots can get quite loud near pick-up time.
YASMINE: Foosball? What are you on about? Have you gone mad?
KAT: Oh sod off. So what if I like to have a good look at Hot Dog Guy’s arse on my trek home after a hard day’s work? It’s called self-care.
CANDACE: Kat, you’re hopeless. Yasmine, yes—foosball! I suppose it’s a big thing over here in the States? We must investigate and learn everything we can.
By the way, he’s called Logan.
Logan + Candace. I think that sounds quite nice! I can hear the wedding bells now. Dum dum da-dum.
YASMINE: Oh good grief. I suppose we can do some snooping when I get home. I’ll grab wine on my way.
KAT: I’ll grab hot dogs.

The Trouble with Quarterbacks by R.S. Grey Review:
A British school teacher and a swoony quarterback. I just read this and combined with R.S. Grey’s name, I knew I just had to read The Trouble with Quarterbacks. If you are new to her books then let me just say that you have been missing out. If you a lover of witty, funny, romantic and entertaining stories complete with emotional play and memorable characters than you need to pick up R.S Grey’s books.
In this romance, a preschool teacher, Candace falls in love with a famous player, Logan. The banter between the protagonists as well as amongst the three Brit friends -Candace, Kat and Yasmine had me laughing and thoroughly entertained. The story is predictable and goes in a straight line but still the fluid and engaging narration makes this story one that will have readers feeling connected to the characters and invested in the ups and downs in their lives.
I loved Logan. He is humble, down-to-earth and downright handsome. His humbleness and his care with Candace had me swooning. He is the perfect boyfriend. Candace is fun, has a positive attitude and is a great friend. She has overcome her insecurities and I enjoyed her wide-eyed and awed look when she comes to know the reality of Logan. It was so cute.
While the heartfelt romance will have readers feeling happy, another highlight of this book is the friendship of Candace, Kat and Yasmine. The witty exchanges, the teasing and their camaraderie has me so intrigued and I am so looking forward to reading their own stories soon.
If you are looking for a fun, sexy and flirty romance then this book is for you. 4 out of 5 stars to The Trouble with Quarterbacks by R.S. Grey and Njkinny recommends it to all lovers of sports romance, romantic comedy books and romances with heart and laughs.
