There are sirens and, then, there are sirens. Some warn you of danger and some lure you into danger…Lured by a sexy siren, Vicky is mistaken for a secret agent, kidnapped, tortured and slated for death. Will he survive and save Bangalore from going up in flames?…There is a serial killer loose in the city leaving mysterious messages around the bodies of the victims. Are the messages a challenge to the police or a siren call to lure another victim…Jay is sent to Bellary to investigate a possible ISI plot. Was it merely a murky political plot or was there something more sinister in the offing? And why were two women suddenly singing siren songs of love?…Three tales of nerve-racking suspense and pulse-pounding action.

My Review:

Three short stories by three different authors that intrigue and engage. Sirens spell danger is a collection of three short stories at have varied tones and some very appealing plots.

“Femme Fatale” is a story of a police recruit who gets into trouble when he gets attracted to a woman in a bar.

Racy, crisp and thrill inspiring, this story takes the reader inside a world of secrets, crime and terrorism. Very admirably executed, the story will keep your eyes glued to the book.

“Bella Donna” has a serial killer on the lose and its a race against time to catch him. A killer most intelligent, this is a case that will keep you at the edge of your seat. The author has great command on the science aspects of the poisons and expertly syncs her knowledge with her plot to keep the story progressing in the direction she wants it to.

“Bellary” is a spy thriller and you would claim to have read them all but then, the end will come and stump you. A very ingenious effort and very beautifully executed by the author.

All in all, a modern cocktail of great stories by some very talented authors who give the reader a journey that will leave him reeling and pleasantly entertained. Worth every rupee spent, this is a must read for everyone.

A full 4.5 out of 5 to Sirens spell danger and kudos to the authors for writing such interesting and very entertaining stories. I look forward to reading more from them in the future.

I received the book from the authors to read and review and I am very thankful to them for introducing me to this “must read” book. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.
