I love reading to my three year old kid. And in turn, he loves flipping through the pages, looking at pictures. And then narrating the stories as they have been told to him!

Discover India series is a must read series that takes the readers on a memorable journey of India. Festivals of India is the latest installment in this series that again has Mishki and Pushka all excited because Daadu Dolma is going to tell them about the various colour festivals of India.

Things I Liked:

So, Discover India: Festivals of India book is full of colourful illustrations, pictures, fun facts, history and strategically placed games like sudoku, mazes, spot the difference etc. to engage and enlighten the readers in a fun way.

Then this is a beautifully illustrated. It is also an informative book on Indian festivals that also includes fun facts, and games to engage young readers.

The festivals are arranged according to the time they are celebrated. And with simple language with lots of visual matter makes this book interesting not only to kids but also adults.

Therefore, even my three year old loved it. So, now he is always eager for me to read it to him. And then sits for long periods flipping pages to see the photos in this book.

Also, apart from my kid’s obvious love for the book, I, too, learned so much about the festivals from this book.
