Book Review:


Broken Resolutions by Olivia Dade attracted me because of the cover and the blurb. A short and quick read, this is the story of a librarian, Penny who has sworn off men because of her previous failed relationships and a reclusive billionaire, Jack who is not looking for love. But sparks fly when they meet at a event and this book details their romance and the ups and downs they face on the way.


This is the first book by Olivia Dade that I have read and I enjoyed her writing style. Penny is a girl next door, happy in her pjs and her librarian existence. I loved Jack too with his reclusive attitude and his aversion to any romance.


The story is well paced and although novella length, gets the emotions and development of the scenes across well. While I dont usually like insta love/lust, I let it go in this one because the author develops her story beautifully by including emotions.


All in all, Broken Resolutions by Olivia Dade is a quick, light and breezy romance that can be easily finished in one sitting. 4 out of 5 to it and recommended to all lovers of romance.
