Book Review:
Since You’ve Been Gone by Anouska Knight is the first book by the author I have read. I loved the cover, blurb and title and it was because of this package that I got interested in the book in the first place.

Seeming like a story I would like, I started the book with much enthusiasm but soon started getting bored. The start to the story is slow and while I empathized with Holly who has lost her husband and still pines for him, I so wanted her to move forward.

Ciaran is a believable character and more likable but Holly’s critical attitude towards him didnt sit well with me.

The plot is promising and could have been made better but for now, I kept losing interest in the story. Some parts are really engaging but overall this could have been a much better book.

Anouska’s writing style is engaging and fluid but she wasn’t able to create magic in this story.

All in all, Since You’ve Been Gone by Anouska Knight is good in places but overall could have been way better. 3 out of 5 to it.

I received the book from the publishers via Netgalley and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.
