In the latest entry in this USA Today bestselling series, Jessica Fletcher takes on an Agatha Christie-style mystery when she finds herself stranded in a hotel during a blizzard with twelve strangers and a killer in their midst….

Still staying at the Hill House hotel while her beloved home is being rebuilt, Jessica Fletcher finds herself sharing the space for a weekend with a dozen members of a wedding party who have gathered there for a rehearsal dinner. The families of the bride and groom can’t stand each other but have agreed to put aside years of long-simmering tension to celebrate the nuptials.

Unfortunately, weather forecasters underestimated the severity of a storm that turns into a historic blizzard that dumps nearly five feet of snow on Cabot Cove, leaving everyone stranded.

But the hotel guests have bigger things to worry about than bad weather conditions and potential cold feet, because a murderer has shown up ininvited–one who has vowed to take them down one by one….

Murder, She Wrote: The Murder of Twelve by Jessica Fletcher, Jon Land Book Review

In Murder, She Wrote: The Murder of Twelve by Jessica Fletcher, Jon Land, Jessica is staying at Cabot Cove’s Hill House Hotel until the repairs going on in her house are over. It is here during breakfast one day that this adventure starts. Jessica gets stuck in the hotel due to a fierce blizzard with a wedding party. Soon people start dying mysteriously and it is upto Jessica to solve the mystery and catch the killer before it is too late.

I recently watched and absolutely adored the “Murder, She Wrote” TV series featuring Angela Lansbury. So when I came to know about the book series of the same name, I knew I had to read them.

Murder, She Wrote: The Murder of Twelve had me transported to the quaint town of Cabot Cove in Maine where everyone knows everyone and everyone loves Jessica Fletcher!

Here, too, she is thrown smack-dab in the middle of a murder mystery when a man is found murdered in a car near the hotel. With an impending blizzard fast approaching, they are stuck in the hotel where soon another body follows and it becomes apparent that there is a killer on the loose.

A tense, meticulous mystery that had me sitting at the edge of my seat throughout with action-packed scenes and plenty of red herrings to keep a reader guessing, Murder, She Wrote: The Murder of Twelve is a splendidly plotted and narrated mystery. The ending when it came had me shocked, chilled and left in awe.

A book that reminded me of Agatha Christie’s classic mystery, “And Then There Were None“, Jon Land’s writing style, his vivid narration and brain-teasing clues are a beautiful tribute to the “Queen of Crime”.

5 out of 5 super shiny stars to Murder, She Wrote: The Murder of Twelve by Jessica Fletcher, Jon Land, Njkinny Recommends this splendid whodunnit to all mystery lovers. Perfect read to snuggle with, go read this book today!

I received an ARC for review from Berkley Publishers and I am very thankful to them. The above is my honest and unbiased opinion that is in no way influenced.
