I bought this book on a recommendation and I am so glad I gave this one a chance. Book Lovers by Emily Henry is a must read for everyone, and especially if you are a book lover!
A thoroughly memorable read, I adored each second spent reading this gorgeous story of relationships, love, and finding self-happiness.
Things I Liked:
I loved everything about this book which got me out of a reading slump.
Nora has spent her life doing everything to protect, and make life easier for her younger sister Libby. But when she realises that there are things she doesn’t know about her sister, and feels a distance between them, I cried so hard at her confusion, helplessness, and heartbreak. This book beautifully captures the bond between sisters and explores its many nuances. So, I laughed, cried, and felt every emotion as I followed the sisters feeling a part of their journey.

Then Charlie and Nora are a couple who effectively captured my heart. Both are hardworking, and dedicated to their work that people often misunderstand their devotion to their craft as being obsessive and as having no life!
This quote had me smiling through my tears. Charlie has a way to make Nora smile when she is sad and it is a thing of beauty.

The way Charlie understood Nora and vive versa had me sighing in pure delight, and their back stories had me sobbing. When it seemed like there was going to be no happy ending for these lovers, the final twist came and what a twist it is too!
I got so emotional when I read this part of the story. So relatable because so many of us feel like disappointments in our home town with people who knew us as kids when we don’t conform to their perceptions of us.

Apart from the protagonists, I loved each and every other character who are all a mix bag of people who seem so real with flaws and all. Each has their own story and I felt eager to know more about each and every one of the residents of Sunshine Falls. So, these are people we have either met in real life or heard about from our acquaintances.
Conclusion:
All in all, Book Lovers by Emily Henry is my new favourite book and definitely one of my top reads of 2022. Emotional, sensual, heartfelt, full of witty banter, life’s lessons, a cast of characters that have made a place in my heart, and memorable quotes, I just didn’t want this book to end. And am itching to go read it again!
