I have been following Sapna Bhog’s engrossing, and edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense “Bond of Brothers Book Series“. And so, was eagerly awaiting to read this third instalment in this romance quartet. So, as soon as My Enemy released I grabbed a copy, and only looked up from the book once it finished!

Book Title, Cover, and Blurb:
Sapna Bhog’s books always nail the attractive-at-first-glance aspect of her stories. Her book covers, titles, and blurbs are so intriguing that readers are forced to stop and take note of the books. And this book is no exception. Right from the interesting title, to the sizzling cover, to finally the fascinating blurb, you will want to read this story right from the start!
The backstory is beautifully recapped:
One of the best things about this book is that, though it is part of “Bond of Brothers Book Series” with a continuing suspense angle, it can still be read as a standalone story. You don’t need to read the previous books to understand this one. The author beautifully summarises the background story so far, and if you are a new reader you don’t feel like you missed anything. However, despite this expert recap, I still recommend that you read the “Bond of Brothers Book Series” in order to better understand the characters, and their motivations.
Realistic, and Immersive World Building:
This series and this book are set in Dubai, and Shimla. And I loved how Sapna Bhog brought both the places alive in my mind. Right from the serenity of Shimla with its plantations, forests, and airy bungalows to the sleek penthouses, modern villas, and trendy night clubs of Dubai, everything felt real as I read this book.
I was sucked right from the start, and felt a part of the story throughout!
Simple, and spellbinding narration:
Sapna Bhog’s writing style is simple yet vivid. She creates a relatable, and realistic world where the readers feel one with the story. Here too, I sat spellbound throughout the book. With well planned twists, and emotional play the author made me invested in the story.
Also by using an easy and fluid storytelling style, this book will be enjoyed by both novices and expert readers.
Characterisation:
The characters are another highlight of this book. They are real, and flawed people who have made mistakes in the past. Then they are also people bound together by love, duty, guilt, and devotion. So, these are characters that will resonate with every reader.
Protagonists:
Aaryan Rajpoot:
Aaryan Rajpoot is the most enigmatic, controlling, and distrustful of the four Rajpoot siblings. He feels guilty, and responsible for a past trauma. And so, has devoted his life ever since to one goal only. And that is to keep his family safe from the enemy.
Aaryan was tired of living in hiding and not knowing what Dev was planning next. Some days, he still woke up drenched in sweat as dreams of that night haunted him. While he was able to control the memories when he was awake, he couldn’t control the dreams. They were a taunting reminder of the past and his failure that night to protect those he loved.”

Meeting my favourite Rajpoot siblings from the previous book who are all happily married now was so satisfying. Then the antihero Dev Luthra, and his relentless search for Avni Rajpoot has me on tenterhooks to get my hands on the last book in this series “My Sinner” that is releasing soon.
The whole cast now feels like family, and their appearance in this book felt like a joyous reunion with loved ones!
Conclusion:
All in all, My Enemy by Sapna Bhog is another stellar addition to the “Bond of Brothers Romantic Suspense Book Series”. It is entertaining, swoon worthy, emotional, and a total page-turner! So, Njkinny Recommends this sizzling and gripping Indian Romance to all adult lovers of romance novels.
