I fell in love with this expressive, vivid and emotional love story that had me going teary eyed ever so often. Megan has been lost ever since her husband’s death who died in a car accident five years ago. So, she has insomnia, PTSD, and depression. Then the sudden and cruel separation from her soulmate has left her adrift and her plight will have your heart breaking. So, despite going to several shrinks, she has still not made peace with her changed circumstances.

Also when she meets Theo, it is like they have been pulled towards each other by an unseen force. Then Theo was in an accident and lost his looks, and voice in it. So, he changed from the golden boy of the town to the mute, broody and reclusive hero who roams the streets at night.
Then both have seen tragedy and fallen in the pits of grief and loss. So when they meet it’s like it was destiny. Except both are determined to resist their unwanted pull towards each other. Too many coincidences and similarities between Theo and Megan’s dead husband has her questioning everything. So, I had goosebumps whenever something clicked. And believe me there are many chilling moments in this story that will have you questioning every thing too.

Both protagonists are dealing with mental illness and the difference in their journey to betterment is so different yet one thing remains the same. Also the author stresses on the fact that love, support and understanding is the key to helping people with mental illness get better!

I adored everything about this story. From the crisp story line to expertly developed characters to the vivid narration that had me engrossed throughout. So, I enjoyed this book thoroughly.
Then the emotional play is heartwarming, the chemistry is hot, and the ending oh so satisfying. So, I cried, laughed, swooned, and jumped in joy as I read this memorable romance. Also the suspense had me biting my nails and feeling chills run down my spine. I won’t disclose more but expect the unexpected when you read this book.
All in all, Midnight Valentine by J.T. Geissinger is another stellar romantic suspense by the author that had me loving every second I spent reading it. This is a poignant and haunting story of love, loss, grief, redemption, and second chances. It is a book that will test your belief about reincarnation and the power of true love.

5 out of 5 stars to it and Njkinny recommends this must read romance to all readers above the age of eighteen. So, this book has become my favourite. Its enchanting atmospheric feel, its lush story telling, and a memorable love story about characters that have made a permanent place in my heart.
However, I am taking away half a star because somewhere at the end, Theo looked a little rushed in his acceptance.
But I love J.T Geissinger’s books and have enjoyed many of her romances. So, this is one author that you should give a try!
