Prisoner of Yakutsk: The Subhash Chandra Bose Mystery Final Chapter by Shreyas Bhave Review:

“What exactly happened to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose?”

Isn’t this the million dollar question that has intrigued many of us!

A legendary leader who disappeared mysteriously with many conspiracy theories surrounding his disappearance, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s sudden vanishing without a trace has people still speculating even after so many decades of his last appearance.

Shreyas Bhave’s book tries to bring closure to Netaji’s disappearance by blending facts with fiction. As we follow the protagonists in their quest for the truth, this thriller takes the readers across countries and continents following the slimmest of trails, long lost clues and tackling danger from people who don’t want the mystery of his vanishing brought out in the light and solved!

I liked how the plot is well planned out and then crisply narrated with no unnecessary embellishments to the facts. Shreyas has merged reality with fantasy so beautifully that nowhere did I feel discontent with the flow of the story. Starting with a bang, the book kept me glued to the story all through as I kept turning the pages with bated breath to know more.

The protagonists Jay and Tanya had my immediate support as I felt connected with their reasoning for trying to unearth the truth that had been long buried. Jay’s emotional upheaval became mine and I could feel his urgency and the driving need to know about his missing ancestors. The subtle romance between Jay and Tanya is beautifully ingrained in the story without shifting the main focus of the book.

Conclusion:

All in all, Prisoner of Yakutsk: The Subhash Chandra Bose Mystery Final Chapter by Shreyas Bhave is an engaging and enjoyable read that beautifully blends fiction with facts. So, a perfect leisure read that will interest all mystery and conspiracy theory lovers out there, I give it 4 shiny stars out of 5. And look forward to reading more from the author in the future.
