I adore reading spy stories. Throw in romance and I jump to read such books. Same thing happened with Chasing Frost by Isabel Jolie. When I heard about this book, I was intrigued by the blurb and the theme of an undercover FBI agent heroine who is given an assignment to spy on the hero and who then falls in love with him!
Sydney is a diligent FBI agent and takes her job very seriously. When she is given the assignment to spy on our hero who works for a prestigious firm. Her job is straightforward. Get close to the target, get information and make a report. Except as she comes to know the real Chase, she starts to see the man hidden behind his playboy charm and what she sees has her breaking all the rules and falling in love with him.
I loved the humour, the mystery and the steam. The story sucked me in right from the start and I finished it in one sitting. This is my first book by Isabel Jolie and hence, I can safely say that you don’t need to read the previous books in the West Side series to truly enjoy this one. It is a standalone story with a happy ending that had me sighing in delight and contentment.
I enjoyed reading this romantic suspense and Njkinny recommends it to all lovers of romance with mystery, humour and a little steam who are above the age of eighteen. 5 out of 5 super shiny stars to it, go read this lovely romance now!
